The Big Hit visits Hull between the 11-19 May ahead of the 2013 Allam British Open Squash Championships which take place in the city next week.
Following on from success in Manchester and Stratford, ‘pop up’ squash will visit Hull City Centre for three days in the build up to the international squash tournament.
Councillor Geraghty, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming the Big Hit organisers to Hull in what should be a unique event. We hope that from this we’ll encourage people to give the sport a further go in one of the city’s leisure centres.”
Shoppers will also be able to pit their skills against local professional players James Earles, the 20-year-old is a former U19 British Junior champion and is relishing the opportunity to play in the sports most prestigious tournament in his home town.
